dPesca.com Launches New Site - TomsCatch.com
After more than 18 months of development, we have unveiled a new site for the sport fishing industry around the world
Today we're launching our new web site TomsCatch.com which has been built and designed from the ground up by the Tom's Catch team of designers, user-experience architects, developers and software engineers.
The new design will also give you more visual clues about the different fishing areas, fishing charters, guides, catch reports, etc.
Back in 2010 we launched dPesca.com, the first site related to fishing charters and guides with a budget of no more than €5000. It was a digital home for anglers, tourists, captains, fishing enthusiasts, tackle shops and sport fishing brands to find their perfect fishing trip. You’ve come to trust us over the past 5 years, but our growth online has sometimes come too quickly and with some pain.
We grew from 35 fishing charters to over 500 boats, captains and guides. That’s good! But they were spread out over different fishing areas, sections and ports tenuously connected by virtual duct tape and chewing gum. The cleanup process—onerous and without a shred of glamour—took almost 15 months. But finally, last month, our engineers rolled out a newly unified site architecture with a very simple and clear design. Maybe you saw that pages loaded a touch faster. The whole booking process made easy. Read the full story on our blog.
