Fishing with Pete Mickeal
Recovering from his Injury
History, boats, tackle, and much more!
The Latest on Our Recent Fishing Trip
Last Sunday Pete Mickeal, famous basketball player from Barça and good client from dPesca.com, came fishing with the "Il.lusio", Cambrils. Capt. David and his guide Miguel decided to go bottom fishing. There was hardly any wind, the sea was as flat as a plate and we knew that bottom fishing was giving some good results these days.
We anchored quite fast on one of the many wrecks that can be found in the Gulf of San Jordi.
The fish were very active, every time you dropped the rigs to the bottom, few seconds later the first bites could be noticed. Most of the fish caught were "molleras", "Pageles" and Black Spot Sea Bream. We also caught two nice Forkbeard (max. 2kg). We also lost to very nice fish towards the end of the journey. It were two brutal bites and we simply couldn't stop the fish as they immediately swam into the wreck. Miguel thought it could have been conger eel or a large Forkbeard.
We all went home very happy, as we had caught over 50 fish.
